This presentation will explore how expanding engagement beyond traditional HIV stakeholders, by mobilizing grassroots leaders, faith communities, businesses, artists, advocates, and other nontraditional partners, can build a broader movement for change. It will examine how aligning goals, leverage collective strengths, and establish shared measures of success can maximize impact across organizations, sectors, and communities, and how authentic partnerships built on trust, communication, and complementary expertise can accelerate innovation, eliminate duplication, and amplify collective outcomes.

Evany Turk and Marnina Miller, Co-Executive Directors of Positive Women’s Network-USA, join us to examine how systemic violence shapes the lives and leadership of women living with HIV. They’ll walk through the layered impact of medical neglect, economic inequity, stigma, criminalization, and erasure, and what it truly means to resist these forces. The conversation will also make the case for why Meaningful Involvement of People with HIV/AIDS (MIPA) is not optional but essential.
