  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Organization must be a U.S. non profit
  • All non-medical personnel who have worked or volunteered in the HIV community for at least 2 years. If selected as a Thera Community Champion, nominees must be able to provide proof of current employment or volunteer status. 
  • Nominees within the same organization cannot win the Community Champion contest within 24 months.
  • Candidates are nominated via the therathursdays.com website.
  • Candidates can nominate themselves.
  • Candidates who are nominated but do no meet the eligibility criteria will be removed from the ballot.
  • The voter must work or volunteer in the field of HIV. In order to cast a vote, one must enter their employer and their job title.
  • Candidates will be evaluated by the number of votes cast and by review of the Thera Community Team. The top 4 nominees with the most votes will be reviewed. 
  • The winner will be announced on the following Thera Thursday. 
  • The runner up will also be mentioned. They will receive a special gift. 
  • The candidates must be present at the webinar in order to win. 
  • Community Champion's profile will be featured on www.therathursdays.com for the month
  • Community Champion will win $1000 for their employer organization
  • All checks for sponsorship will be made out to the employer of the Thera Community Champion.
  • Sponsorship checks may take up to 45 business days to arrive.
  • The top two nominees will be announced on the Thera Thursday live webinar
