Promoting Health Equity in Clinical Trials: Why Diversity Matters!

Based on an article by the National Medical Association, Black people are disproportionally disadvantage in every major category of mortality. Similarly, Black people are not well represented in Clinical Trial access and participation. There are a multiple reasons why Black individuals are not participating in Clinical Trials, but the four major reasons are: lack of awareness, economic factors, lack of tailored communications, and mistrust of private and governmental systems.
