Akosua Addo, at Prism Health North Texas

Akosua Addo began working at Prism Health North Texas (formerly AIDS Arms, Inc.) directly out of college. She graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) on a Saturday and started at AIDS Arms, Inc. on Monday. She was very eager to start as an outreach educator on Prism Health North Texas’s Free World Bound team and later moved over to another department which she was a facilitator with a program called WiLLOW (Women Involved in Life Learning from Other Women), and this allowed her to begin working very closely with the Women, Youth and Families team. Akosua became the supervisor for the Women, Youth and Families team (later changed to Women and Youth) where she quickly moved up and was able to show case her skills, talents, and leadership. Beyond case management, her work has touched almost every program at Prism Health North Texas. Akosua brings a “can do” attitude to the workplace. She is always willing to assist others beyond Prism Health North Texas or her own department from sitting in numerous committees at Dallas County to helping external organizations. Akosua is a wife and mother of three adorable kids, and has a non-profit organization called Ghanaian Professional Network that she loves serving in and giving back to the Ghanaian community. Akosua currently serve as the Senior Director of Patient Services and Case Management. Akosua is a Community Champion
