Sonya has consistently demonstrated leadership, dedication, and passion for advancing HIV advocacy and policy reform both in Louisiana and nationally. Sonya serves in leadership on the Ryan White Advisory Council for the Greater Baton Rouge Area, the National HIV & Aging Advocacy Network (NHAAN), and the Louisiana Coalition on Criminalization and Health (LCCH)- the only organization in Louisiana solely focused on HIV decriminalization efforts.
