Tony Newman Jr. is a visionary public health leader and the Assistant Executive Director of the TiYM (This is Your Moment) Network, where he and his team aim to amplify Black voices through innovative media, storytelling, and community-led advocacy. Tony collaborates with community leaders to create culturally resonant content for HIV clinics, including the groundbreaking Visibility Awards and a powerful seven-part animated series exploring mental health and substance use among Black youth. His work centers on healing by fostering intergenerational dialogue, challenging stigma, and uplifting historically underserved communities. Whether designing transformative workshops or elevating lived experiences through film and research, Tony strives to ensure that everyone's voices are seen, heard, and valued. Tony is a champion who is redefining what community engagement, health justice, and creative leadership look like in public health today.
