LaTrischa, BBA, CHW, is a Manager of Treatment Adherence at Kansas City CARE Health Center. She has over 21 years’ experience in HIV services and is nationally recognized with expertise in training, supervision, advocacy, treatment adherence, and community education. She brings her knowledge and skills of creating materials and peer learning models for improving literacy and engagement in care. Additionally, she has provided Technical Assistance to organizations in Florida, Missouri and Boston to persons living with HIV and AIDS to become Peer Educators. Ms. Miles has served as Kansas City Ryan White Planning Council Chair that serves an 11-county area with over 4,000 people living with HIV/AIDS. She is one of 28 co-founders of the U.S. Positive Women’s Network (PWN) established in 2008. Ms. Miles is founder and President of GRACE of Greater Kansas City, a Women’s monthly support group. She is a member of the 2020 Leading Women’s Society whose focus is mentoring advocates and providing leadership. Ms. Miles has been a steadfast advocate for HIV Criminalization, and her work earned the Elaine Aber Humanitarian Award, recognized by Empower Missouri. Ms. Miles is a speaker and volunteer in a number of organizations.
