HIV Beyond Bars: The Impact of Criminalization on Quality of Life

Presenters Kamaria Laffrey and Lashanda Salinas will outline for participants what HIV criminalization looks like beyond the courtroom, how a person living with HIV is faced with a lifetime of ramifications from the criminal justice system which further perpetuates stigma. Lashanda will be sharing her personal lived experience as a survivor of HIV criminalization and explain to participants that they care about HIV criminalization, they just may not know it yet.
