Gerald L. McNair is a native of Columbia, SC; he is a driven community activist and passionate advocate who builds alliances with everyone, fights for issues that affect our quality of life, and makes communities stronger. He holds a BS in Actuarial Science from Howard University, a BS in Computer Information from DeVry University, and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Gerald is currently on the Board of Palmetto AIDS Life Support Services, Harriet Hancock LGBT Center, South Carolina Black Pride, and CFO of Columbian Coffee Club. Over the years, Gerald has volunteered in the SC community in many different capacities. SC Ending the HIV Epidemic Steering Committee, Executive Committee and Voting Member of the SC HIV Planning Council, Chairman of Positive Advocacy Committee of the HIV Planning Council, a volunteer with WREN (Women Resource Empowerment Network), Palmetto Aids Life Support Services Menz Wrap, and the USC Medical Empowerment Group, the SC HIV Task Force. He is an advocate and volunteer for AIDS Healthcare Foundation Advocacy and an SC HIV Criminalization Ambassador (the Dream Team), and a volunteer with St. Luke's Episcopal Church Lunch & Learn Outreach Program. Gerald believes that there are enough opportunities and resources for anyone to thrive and seeks out occasions to fulfill this vision. He will continue to blaze trails for advancement, securing others for a better quality of life.
