Aaron Lucier, at PiCASO

June 2026 - Thera Community Champion

Aaron has been the Board President of PiCASO for over 25 years. He has led this community effort to bring HIV testing, education, and resources to Pitt County as well as other surrounding counties. Every year he spends countless hours, writing grants, coordinating educational programs, managing staff members, and advocating for care for people living with HIV and AIDS. Aaron created the monthly drag brunches hosted at the Scullery in Greenville North Carolina. The money raised from this event goes directly back into the community to help pay bills for PiCASO clients who are struggling to make ends meet. He has put much of his own money into keeping the organization afloat every year. I am honored to work with him on the board, and feell as though he is most deserving of this honor.
