Carol Suazo, Stable Homes Program Manager at 2900 Louisiana St

Carol Suazo came to Catholic Charities with over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. For the last 7 years, Carol Suazo has worked with Catholic Charities (HOPWA) AIDS Ministry Program providing financial assistance and case management for people living with HIV/AIDS at risk of becoming homeless. In addition to this, she has been a member of the Houston Ryan White Planning Council for the last 6 years, to where she served as the Council Secretary for 3 years, and participates in diverse outreach activities advocating for people living with HIV/AIDS. Her advocacy efforts has granted the unique opportunity to participate in diverse projects and activities sensitive to the HIV community hosted in Houston, Austin, Florida, and Washington, DC. Carol Suazo is an African American Latinx from Honduras with the ability to communicate in English, Spanish, and Garifuna. Her humility, cultural awareness, determination, and communication skills have set Carol Suazo as a great asset to our organization, as well as to the HIV community here in the great city of Houston.
